What Is the Problem With Trans Fatty Acids?

With the increasing awareness about the dangers of fatty acids, how they increase the risks of our developing heart problems, the food industry has started looking for an alternative.

Saturated fats are found in animal products such as, meat, lard, and dairy. It is also found in coconut and palm oil. This type of fat increases our LDL cholesterol or bad cholesterol. Unsaturated fats come from vegetable oils and they do not raise the LDL. It is surely a better option to be preferred. Fried food has always been a staple food of the Americans. French fries, hamburgers, and fried chicken are common on the dining table. Finding a suitable alternative to the saturated oils has become a major issue.

The next problem was, when trying to use unsaturated fatty acids; it was found that they turned rancid very quickly. That was not the answer. It was found that hydrogenation of fats made them last longer. They were named partially hydrogenated vegetable oils. That was the invention of a new fatty acid, the trans type. Now instead of saturated fats being a major part of the American diet, now the trans fats have taken their place.

Do you think, trans fats are any better? No. Now we have both saturated and trans fats that are bad. While saturated fatty acids increased the LDL cholesterol levels, the trans fatty acids do the same. They also decrease the HDL level. The level of HDL should be increased not decreased.

The unhealthy foods are probably easiest to find and are quite irresistible. Doughnuts, cakes and cookies surely taste very yummy! Anything indicating partially hydrogenated vegetable oils on the label is bad for you. Potato Chips, corn, chips and crackers are my favorites, all bad for me.

The result is, trans fats are surely not better than the saturated type, in fact they are worse. No wonder our heart health in the US is continuously on the decline.

So, what is a good fat?

The foods containing unsaturated fats are the best for us. They include fats derived from vegetable oils like canola, peanuts, flax seeds, corn, safflower and sunflower oils. You should ensure that the cooking oil you're buying has not been hydrogenated. Learn to read the label. I keep my reading glasses handy these days.

Unsaturated oils consist of mono unsaturated or polyunsaturated fatty acids. These acids assist in lowering your bad cholesterol level while increasing your HDL level.

Ok, now where to get them from?

Omega-3 fatty acid is the problem solver. Omega-3 and omega 6 are called essential fatty acids implying that our bodies cannot produce them. Getting a good ratio of omega-3 to omega 6 can help you reduce your chances of having heart problems.

You can include omega-3 into your diet by eating more of cold water oil fish like tuna, salmon, sardines, mackerel, lake trout, herring and halibut at least twice a week. Use canola oil and margarine's that contain no trans fat. Be sure to read the labels. If a recipe requires a stick of butter, try using unsaturated vegetable oil in the recipe. Eating walnuts, pumpkin seeds, flaxseed, is also a very good option.

Omega 6 is fairly easy to get and we are surely getting more than enough of it in our daily diet. We in fact need to reduce our intake of omega 6. If that is not possible, then you can try to add some more of omega-3 to balance it out.

If you aren't into eating fish, and you don't like the taste of other foods containing omega-3, you can always find supplements at your local grocery store or drug store. Read the directions and take them as recommended. It is the best way to ensure you are getting the sufficient amount per day you need to stay healthy.

He essentially shares the strategies he's used to become very successful in most people's definition of success. Not just financially, but in the quality of life lived. (Something he stresses often.) However, he is also one to point out that it does not come easy by just thinking positive or by working only four hours a week. To become financially successful, one must work. And Masterson shares that one must often work hard. But when the hard work pays off, it can often open up areas of quality recreation that success brings.

I enjoy books in the business and self-help categories. They motivate me to continue to drive forward and if I implement one or two strategies from a book that help me advance in an area of my life, it was well worth the time to read and study. This book is one of the most enjoyable and useful books in this area that I've read in a long time. I have already marked the sections I want to look at again as I try some of Masterson's suggestions in my own planing. I think anyone who reads this book and actually acts on the information provided will undoubtedly advance on their journey toward living an enriched and abundant life.

How to celebrate a 2 year-old's birthday?

My Answer:

Two year olds prefer to just play. I would put little cars in the treat bags for both boys and girls, and also bubbles to take home. I don't know what is the norm anymore for how much you put in the bag. In my day, a small toy or two, and maybe some sort of candy. Maybe some sort of ball, big enough for them, not one of those little bouncy ones that bigger kids like.
As for food, don't get too fancy. Have stuff that the kids like to eat: hot dogs, maybe, finger food like carrot sticks and dip as for an healthier option of course cake and ice cream too.
Do not have any really organized games. 2 year olds don't understand that. Stuff like musical chairs and the present unwrapping game are not for them. Seven year olds have trouble with the present unwrapping game. They want the present.

As for me i could say that you dont need to spend too much just to celebrate a birthday whats important is that your family is complete because its really the thing that will make his birthday memorable.

My 12th birthday:
for me my most memorable birthday would be my 12th birthday celebration. just like the past years i celebrated it with my family and friends. my parents cooked foods for us then while on the table eating and having fun the most unexpected surprise arrived. My father whom i have only seen in the picture appeared on on our home. i was so shocked then my hands were shaking my heart is beating so fast and i even don't know what to do or say that time. It was the most awkward moment of my whole life but nonetheless i felt so luck and blessed to see and meet him.

I must admit that at first i felt so bad because he left us but my mom who raised me so so well always taught me that everything happens for a reason whether it be good or bad i should accept it. Because of what my mom taught me i have learned to forgive, leave the past behind and just be thankful that i was given the opportunity of knowing him. Since then up to now we were still able to communicate, we see each other and we always look forward for the next birthday celebration to be celebrated together.

PS: just a couple of years ago on my 17th birthday i was then able to meet my half sister and got the chance to bond and know her more.

So you’ve got your blog up and running and you’re posting to it on a regular basis. The next step is to get it in front of as many interested eyeballs as possible.
One great way to do this is to submit it to as many of the social bookmarking sites as possible. You can also join social networking sites and build a profile which contains a link to your blog. Other no cost ways to generate traffic include writing free articles for article directories with a link to your blog at the end, and creating signatures at the end of any posts you make to internet forums, and also in all the emails you send out. There are also a handful of websites which give you the opportunity to get paid for each blog post you make on a specific subject. Pay Per Post and Review Me are two such examples, and they will pay you a certain amount of money to review a product or website for the owner. In a similar vein you can also review and recommend other people’s products through affiliate links inserted into your blog posts, and earn money on commissions earned through any purchases people make.
And once you’re more established you can offer ad space on your blog too, and charge a fee for both classified and display ads if you wish. What could be better than setting your own price?
But there is one final step you can take with your blog if you enjoy a change of scene every now and again. You can sell your blog! Once it is established and has plenty of revenue and traffic, you can usually sell it for ten times its monthly revenue.

And then, you can start all over again with a whole new subject!

Is this a money making article? Watch it make money. It is an article about writing an article that makes money. Once I have written it, I will then give away the article. Maybe it seems like one of the more unusual ways to make money, but it is right in line with the way the internet works.

Creating A Money Making Article

1. First you have to write a title that catches attention and has the right keywords in it. This has the keyword phrase "money making article," and apparently caught your attention. Make the title relevant to the article content, of course, or the reader will feel tricked, and may stop reading.

2. Have a short description that pulls the reader in. You might use the first couple sentences of the article for this. Tell the readers what they will find in the article, and leave them curious. You read this far, so that seems to be working.

3. Have useful information or good stories. It is even better if you have both.

4. Put the keywords in the body of the article, and in sub-headings, so search engines can find your article. Note that I used "money making article" in the sub-heading above, and I just used it again.

5. Create an "authors resource box" that makes the reader want to visit your site. Talk very little about yourself and more about why the reader should go to your web site. I'll be watching to see how well mine works in this case. Be sure the link to your website works.

6. Make money from visitors to your site. You could be selling your own products, or getting a commission for selling other people's products, or just be getting paid for the advertising there.

7. Submit your article to the best article directories on the web. This is where you "give away" your articles. Directory visitors read them there, and other web site owners take them and use them. Generally, they can't change a word in your article, and they have to make that link to your site (in the author's resource box) active. This is how you get traffic to your website.

8. Let the readers learn something, but let them know there is more. This gets them to your site, to learn more. For example, I outlined the basic process above, but I'm leaving out the list of the best article directories to submit to. Of course, in the resource box I will mention that it is on my website. This is how you create a money making article.

I did not know that there are so many types of Fatigue specially with women. After reading the information aboug CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) I thought, that is all there is, until I came across with another website that talks about another type of Fatigue called, PVFS (post viral fatigue sydrome). Although there is no major difference among the two, but in some certain cases, PVFS is the cause of CFS ,plus the fact that the post viral fatigue symptoms are quite different with CFS.
Anyway, I personally think that us, as a woman, we needed to be responsible for our own health,specially if you have a family to take care of.
