Kenny finished his first full round of radiation and chemo treatment in mid-December! Yay! He is thankful to not have to get “zapped” everyday anymore. He has also taken a break from the chemo treatment as well. This means he’s had lots of rest and relaxation. A gentleman that works with Kenny’s father had offered his house to our family in Hawaii on the North Shore. The timing of this opportunity was priceless. We left the day after Kenny’s last day of radiation and also managed to catch the end of the triple crown surf contest at Pipeline on the North Shore. Kenny and the boys enjoyed watching some surf, we all relaxed by pool/beach, took bike rides, went kayaking, and had some great food. Thank you Peter for this wonderful trip! It truly was a blessing for our family and came at such a great time. We came home and celebrated Christmas and the new year with family and friends. Kenny’s next MRI is scheduled for January 15th. We are hopeful the tumor not only has shrunk but possibly has been completely “zapped”. As this holiday season came and went, we are reminded that Christmas is about miracles and faith. We are hoping and praying for both on January 15th. Thank you for all of the continued support, love and prayers for Kenny!
Faith is where you close your eyes and open your heart, moving beyond the familiar and embracing the unknown…
