Kenny passed his halfway mark on his treatment and is doing well. The exhaustion along with a little nausea has kicked in full force but he continues to fight through this phase with lots of rest!
Kenny’s good friend Grant and his brother in law Brent managed to get Kenny out in the water last week for a little surf. This was by far the highlight of the month for sure!
We also had an amazing fundraising event held at Lounge 33 in Riverside over thanksgiving weekend. Kenny’s numerous friends from high school and many family friends all came together to help support Kenny and his family. It was a wonderful evening and we want to thank Mandy Ochoa Huntsman for putting it all together. Words cannot thank you enough! Thanks to all your helpers too, the sponsors and winners for the silent auction, And a big thanks to the owners of Lounge 33 for hosting the event. The love and support shown by so many keeps us all so strong and dedicated to stay positive during this uphill battle.
While Kenny approaches the end of his radiation treatment we have something peaceful to look forward to… A co-worker of Kenny’s father has offered his house to Kenny and his family on the north shore in Hawaii for the week after Kenny finishes his radiation. We are so blessed for this opportunity and what a better way to relax and celebrate the end of a difficult treatment period.
As the holiday season is upon us, it reminds us to believe in hope and continue to have faith is this journey we are on. We continue to be extremely grateful and thankful for all the donations, support, love, and prayers that surround Kenny. From cards to hugs to phone calls just to check in, it all means so much to us. Thank you!
